Today, brought to you by Autumn ~ thank you!...

It hasn't been a particularly busy day.  I had to remove another plant from the garden ~ I have the basil leaves in the dehydrator, which I plan to crush and put in a jar.  Even though we haven't had a frost yet, I can tell the basil is done, the leaves are looking a bit sad.

It's nearly impossible to see in this photo, but some pest is nibbling on my Greek oregano.  I had transplanted it in hopes that it would improve, and it was until about 2 weeks ago.  I think it might be cutworms.  I am starting to get a little annoyed with all the critters that want to eat my herbs.  I will need to dose it again with diatomaceous earth in hopes the damage will stop.

****Monday.....

I have a small tv in my office, one that my youngest son bought many years ago.  It still worked up to a month ago, and it finally died.  It was mounted on a wall mount, that Romeo is insisting we won't be able to use on a new one, but I think we could use it.  However, my thoughts are dismissed, and he is cursing and sighing over removing the mount that's been on the wall for probably 15 years.  For me, this is very frustrating.  I wish my suggestion would have been taken into account.  What would it hurt to leave it until we find a new tv, and see if it would work?  ARGH

Now I am betting he will not want to mount it on the wall because it will be "too much trouble".  So, you see where that leaves me?

Ok, enough of the complaining. I have to go somewhere else, I can't take it.  He's going to end up making a big hole in the wall.

***30 min later: he can't get the mounting bracket off the wall, so will look to see if the new tv will accommodate the mounting plate.   I am doing my best not to smile.

See ya.

Love, 365

  1. Oh boy!! I really hope you find a TV which fits there! For your sake 😊
Most of my herbs are in pots and are the only things in the garden which thrive. I hope your oregano comes back. We are lucky, the worst bugs are grasshoppers.

    1. Yes, we still have grasshoppers, but not too many. The nights are too cold ~ last night was 36f, or 2c. I can't grow mine in pots, it's too hot and there's no shade, so they dry out in hours!

It turns out the tv in the garage (which wasn't being used but stored) fits the bracket, so it's up on the wall and running. Seriously, men need to figure out we have some good mechanical ideas too :-)

    1. They are so fragrant! I have had a few struggles with it this year, but I think I've got it figured out now! Next year the basil goes in the regular garden next to the tomatoes. It is in a lot of sun though, so the leaves aren't as tender as the plants in the herb garden.

    1. Yep, we must accept the annoying with the fun times. It turns out the tv that was languishing in the garage fit the mounting bracket, so it's all up and running. He did say "I didn't think it would fit....I'm sorry". I'll take it!

  4. wry smile over here....good on him to be magnanimous about the replacement tv fitting the bracket.

    1. It was a bit surprising, but he does occasionally admit he might be "less right", as Peg says.

  5. I'm sorry I laughed at this but it's because I share this exact situation with you - too damn many times. I am never wrong, sometimes less right, but never wrong. :-)
