Did you have a great Easter? I did not. I spent Saturday and Sunday with body aches and fever, that went as high as 103.5. It was not fun. The only thing I forced myself to do was drink lots of fluids. I didn't feel much like eating until Sunday evening.
Today I feel fine. No fever. So I am catching up from chores I didn't do this weekend. And of course, this all happens on my 4 day weekend. Sigh.....
So, I wonder, did I have the "regular" flu? Might I have had Covid? No matter really ~ the vaccine worked very well if I only had to be sick for 2 days. 2 days! The last time I had the regular flu I was sick as a dog for 5 days.
Speaking of the dog, she is still recuperating. She is eating well and enjoying walks.

J felt poorly on Easter so we postponed the feast. She told me tonight maybe we'll have it on our anniversary in two days. As my friend, Going Gently (John) says, "Hey, Ho."
ReplyDeleteSounds like it has been a "thing". I read another post from a friend who wasn't feeling good ~ ok, she felt like shit ~ so, weird. Glad you are doing better and that the fest will be delicious!
DeleteOh boy, what a time to get ill. Don't overdo it now.
ReplyDeleteI did get out of all kinds of chores. Romeo was worried. Benefits of marriage, ha ha.
DeleteGlad to read you recovered quickly whatever it was. Sometimes these things are a reminder to give ourselves a break occasionally. Not the sort of break you'd wish for but it sounds like you did all the right things. Hope the recover is complete and no lingering effects.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that it was just the worst cold I've ever had. But you're right, sometimes we do need reminders that we can't always be go go go. Other than the fact that it was unpleasant.
DeleteGlad you are feeling fine now. I had my first vaccine on the 17th March. No symptoms. Yesterday I began to feel like crap. I go nowhere and if I do it's the drs office or grocery store fully masked (2) I got a fever, I was so tired I just had to close my eyes and I had body aches that were off the charts. My husband was convinced this is a side effect to the first one. Really the first one? Is it because my immune system is compromised having 2 autoimmune diseases? I'm to get my 2nd vaccine tomorrow. My fever is gone and I'm almost better. Do I get the 2nd one and geez what will the 2nd one do to me? It's been a fun 13 months hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhen will this fun end? Because I am really tired of wearing a mask. I have trouble with names anyway, and now I can hardly tell who it is I'm talking to.
DeleteI am so sorry you were so sick. I don't know if it has anything to do with the vaccine. My second one was the first part of February. I hope the second shot doesn't make you sick again.
That is a no bueno Easter. Glad you and the doggo are feeling better. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was relatively short lived, but not a whole lot of fun.
DeleteGlad you're feeling better. I find all of my sick days land on pre-planned vacation days. It's the murphy's law of motherhood. Visiting from Ami's... looking for new blogs. I took a two year hiatus and everyone I "knew" seems to be gone. :(
ReplyDeleteI was a little bit annoyed that it was on my nice, long, weekend.
DeleteBlogging is like anything else ~ it has it's ups and downs but it is sad when you see your favorite blogger hasn't posted in a year or two. I actually check a couple every three or four months in the hope they've decided to start it up again!
